The Pentecostal experience of the baptism of the Holy Ghost, which is accompanied with the sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance, is not something new in the history of the Church. In the late spring of the year 30 A.D, fifty days after the resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord, about one hundred and twenty believers were inan upper room in Jerusalem, praying and worshiping God.
When the people heard of this phenomenon, they came together in a great multitude and were amazed and marvelled, for they heard them speaking in their own language.
